UNICEF Türkiye Representative Paolo Marchi visits İŞKUR

Paolo Marchi, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Türkiye Country Office Representative and his delegation visited Samet Güneş, the Director General of the Turkish Employment Agency, at his office. 

During the meeting, UNICEF's works in the fields of employment, social policy, and children's rights were discussed, and current and potential areas of cooperation between İŞKUR and UNICEF were addressed. The meeting focused particularly on policies aimed at youth, women, combating child labour and supporting access to the labour market for vulnerable groups.

Samet Güneş, the Director General provided information about the programmes implemented specifically for youth, women and disadvantaged groups in line with the Agency's inclusive employment policies. At the meeting, it was also stated that UNICEF's child-focused approach and İŞKUR's employment policies complement each other, and wishes were expressed for enhancing cooperation in the coming period. 

The visit ended after wishes of good will were shared.
