Delegation of the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo Visits İŞKUR

The Delegation presided by Ms. Jehona Rexha, Acting Director General of the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo (EARK), paid a study visit to İŞKUR on 7-8 February 2024 to exchange information and experience.

On the first day of the visit, Mr. Samet Güneş, Director General of İŞKUR, received the delegation in his office. Mr. Güneş mentioned the potential cooperation issues for 2024 and emphasized the importance of studies to enhance relationships between EARK and İŞKUR. Mr. Güneş also stated that EARK will be supported by İŞKUR on international platforms, especially for WAPES membership.

The meeting was held under the presidency of İŞKUR Deputy Director General Varol DUR. Employment experts made a detailed presentation to the Kosovo delegation about the general structure of İŞKUR, Türkiye's labour market data, employment, job and vocational counselling, active and passive labour force services and the projects being carried out. In addition, the experts from the General Directorate of International Labour Force of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security gave information to the delegation on labour mobility and working procedures for foreigners.

On the second day of the visit, Kosovo Delegation visited Altındağ Service Centre in order to see İŞKUR’s applications on site. During the visit, the delegation was informed about the services delivered by İŞKUR. After the Service Centre the delegation visited the firm which is active in the manufacturing sector, and where the on-the-job training programme is organised.

Visit ended after exchanges toward determining the roadmap for the cooperation protocol planned to be signed between Agencies.
