Delegation of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Visits İŞKUR

The delegation presided by Mr. Ivan Barbalić, the Director General of the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, paid a study visit to İŞKUR on 22 and 23 October 2024 to exchange information and experience.

 

On the first day of the visit, Ms. Mirsada Colakovic, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ankara also joined the delegation welcomed by Mr. Samet Güneş, Director General of İŞKUR, and a cooperation protocol on the cooperation activities between the agencies was signed. During the signature ceremony, Mr. Güneş stated that the historical, cultural, and amicable relations between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina reflected on the cooperation between the agencies and strengthen these bonds. Moreover, he emphasised the importance of the cooperation between the employment agencies of the two countries and the benefits of the information and experience exchange between the agencies. Mr. Barbalić mentioned that the cooperations would be made between the agencies based on the protocol and this would make significant contribution to the practices of the two countries in the field of employment.

 

Following the protocol signature ceremony, a meeting was held presided by Engin Akyol, Deputy Director Of General of İŞKUR. At the meeting, employment specialists gave detailed presentations on the general structure of İŞKUR, Türkiye's labour market data, employment, job and vocational counselling, services for disabled citizens, active and passive labour force services and the projects being carried out. After the presentation of İŞKUR, the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina shared information about the labour market of Bosnia and Herzegovina and details of the activities of the Labour and Employment Agency.

 

On the second day of the visit, the delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina visited Sincan Service Centre and job club to see the services provided by İŞKUR and obtained detailed information from the authorities.

 

The visit ended with consultations aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the Agencies and determining a road map for the activities to be carried out in the upcoming period.
