Digital Literacy and Digital Marketing Trainings for Women
Turkish Employment Agency, the Directorate General of Lifelong Learning and Vodafone Turkey Foundation have united their forces for women.
Within the scope of “Digital My Job” project implemented with the cooperation of the Directorate General of Turkish Employment Agency, the Directorate General of Lifelong Learning and Vodafone Turkey Foundation, “Digital Literacy” and “Digital Marketing” trainings will be provided for women over 18 years old.
The launching meeting of the project, which aims to provide training for more than 11 thousand women in 11 provinces in its first year, was held online on September 17, 2020. Our Director General Mr. Bekir Aktürk, the Director General of Lifelong Learning Mr. Yusuf Büyük and President of Vodafone Turkey Foundation Mr. Hasan Süel attended the meeting. Mr. Aktürk, Our Director General, who spoke at the meeting said that two different training programmes in “Digital Literacy” and “Digital Marketing” were prepared within the scope of the project which aims at increasing the digital skills of women and those trainings would be delivered to the participants in class rooms and virtually.
“I wish the Project to be Beneficial for Our Country”
Mr. Aktürk mentioned about the importance of digitalisation and said, “As İŞKUR, we are working more determined and diligent for preserving and increasing employment in these days when the world and our country having hard times. We carry out activities in order to raise qualified labour force required in information technologies sector in line with our Development Plans and National Employment Strategy and we conduct significant studies in order to raise our labour force in future’s professions and equip the current employees with future’s skills.
We also continue to support all kinds of efforts, which can increase information and skills of our citizens in technology field and contribute to the labour market. Within this context, I believe that this project, which is carried into effect in collaboration with our Agency, Directorate General for Life Learning and Vodafone Turkey Foundation, that will increase digital literacy and skills of women, will have fruitful results for labour market.
Mr. Aktürk, who told that the details related to the trainings in order women benefit from previously mentioned trainings would be shared, stated, “We will continue to support women through Job Clubs which we deliver intensified job and vocational counselling service after the trainings. I hope that ‘Digital is My Job Project’ will be beneficial for our country.
Mr. Yusuf Büyük, Director General of Life Learning, Ministry of National Education expressed their appreciation for taking part in this project which will develop digital skills of women and enable them to get stronger in social life. Mr. Hasan Süel, President of Vodafone Turkey Foundation said: “We aim to carry out a project which will bring the potential of women with the power of technology and support the social development” and he mentioned that they believed that this first step would grow and become prevalent in society.
11 Thousand Women will be reached in 11 Provinces through 140 Trainers
Within the scope of “Digital is My Job Project”, in 11 provinces, 10 thousand 500 women will be delivered “Digital Literacy” training and one thousand and 200 women will be delivered “Digital marketing” training. Project trainings will be organised in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Antalya, Samsun, Mardin, Afyonkarahisar, Elazığ, Sivas and Ağrı. 140 formatter working in Public Training Centres in project provinces will deliver trainings. Some of the trainings will be delivered face to face and some of them will be videos through digital channels.
All women over 18 can apply
All women over 18 and have smart phones can apply to “Digital is My Job Project”. Applications for the trainings will be done through Public Training centres and Vodafone Turkey web site.
