UNDP Resident Representative in Türkiye Domínguez Visits İŞKUR
Monica Merino Domínguez, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Türkiye and her delegation paid a visit to Samet Güneş, Director General of the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), at his office.
Mr. Mustafa Işık, Deputy Director General of İŞKUR and Mr. Mehmet Altun, the Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Projects also attended the meeting, and the long-standing strategic partnership between İŞKUR and UNDP was discussed and current projects and future cooperation opportunities were evaluated.
During the visit, Resident Representative Ms. Domínguez expressed her satisfaction with working together with İŞKUR, stating that they have learned a great deal from the Agency’s field experience and implementation models. Ms. Domínguez stated that they wished to further advance the successful partnership with İŞKUR through new projects.
Director General Güneş provided information on the Productive Age of Youth (GÜÇ) Initiative, launched in line with the Agency's sustainable employment policies, as well as the significant efforts in the field of women's employment. Furthermore, it was emphasised during the meeting that the combination of UNDP’s global experience and İŞKUR’s operational field capacity will continue to deliver tangible outcomes for disadvantaged groups, youth, and women.
The visit concluded with mutual wishes to further deepen and sustain co-operation between the two institutions.
